Frequently asked questions.
What is Elevated Pathways Learning?
Elevated Pathways Learning is a one-on-one academic support service that helps students in grades 1-8 strengthen foundational skills, deepen subject understanding, and grow into more confident, independent learners. Sessions are personalized and grounded in Montessori principles, with an emphasis on clarity, confidence, and curiosity.
Who will be working with my child?
All sessions are led by Frank Graf, a certified Montessori teacher with over 10 years of classroom experience and a background in progressive, hands-on education. Frank has taught in various public and independent schools in Philadelphia, PA and currently teaches at the Montessori School of Evergreen. He brings a calm, thoughtful, and highly individualized approach to each learner he supports.
What grade levels and ages do you support?
Elevated Pathways Learning supports students in 1st through 8th grade. Whether your child needs to build foundational skills, keep pace with schoolwork, or explore a subject in more depth, we tailor the experience to fit their age, readiness, and interests.
What subjects do you cover?
We specialize in three core areas:
Language & Literacy: reading comprehension, writing, grammar, phonics, and research skills
Math & Geometry: number sense, operations, problem-solving, and pre-algebra
Project-Based Learning: guided support for school projects or passion-driven explorations
All instruction is aligned with your child’s current curriculum and learning style.
How is your approach different from other tutoring services?
Our approach is grounded in the belief that learning should feel natural, meaningful, and motivating. We don’t use a one-size-fits-all method. Instead, Frank takes time to understand your child’s needs, challenges, and interests, then builds a plan just for them. Drawing from Montessori principles and traditional academic tools, we help students master core concepts, not just complete assignments—so they can grow with clarity and confidence.
What is the Montessori Method and how do you use it?
Montessori education focuses on helping children understand concepts deeply through hands-on, personalized learning. At Elevated Pathways Learning, that means using tactile materials, following your child’s pace, and prioritizing meaningful understanding over memorization. This builds strong foundations that help students become more confident and independent learners.
Does my child have to be in Montessori School to learn here?
Not at all. Students from all educational backgrounds — Montessori, traditional public or private schools, independent schools, and home-school settings — can benefit from the Montessori-informed approach we use. No prior experience with Montessori is required.
At Elevated Pathways Learning, Montessori principles help us focus on core understanding, hands-on learning, and supporting each child’s pace and interests. Whether your child is catching up or ready to stretch further, this approach meets them where they are and helps them grow with clarity and confidence.
What types of students benefit from Elevated Pathways?
We work with a wide range of learners:
Students who need extra support in reading, writing, or math
Students who are ahead and want to go deeper into a subject
Students navigating transitions (school changes, new curriculum)
Homeschoolers looking for expert academic guidance
Children who thrive with one-on-one, hands-on attention
Where are you located and what areas do you serve?
Elevated Pathways Learning serves Colorado families in Evergreen, Kittredge, Conifer, Idaho Springs, Floyd Hill, Golden, and Bailey. In-person sessions are available depending on location and availability. If you’re outside these areas, virtual support may be possible—just reach out and we’ll explore what works best.
How do we get started?
Start by scheduling a consultation call. This gives us a chance to talk about your child’s current needs, goals, and learning environment. From there, we’ll determine the right support plan and session schedule.
